ABOUT ME​

Thank you for visiting this site dedicated to helping the best agents get better!   At the humble advisory we support the needs of agents in Real Estate, Lending and Precious Metals.

 

I'm Jerry, and I'll share a quick story to introduce myself.

 

I spent my 1st 6 years out of college in tv and film for Warner Bros and Paramount as a production accountant and production manager.  In 1995 I had the good fortune to produce two films, one of which took Top Honor at the Florida International Film Festival. It was exciting, but the income wasn't!

 

Watching my friends in mortgage making 5x more than I was hard to ignore!

 

The DRE issued my 1st license 1996.  I started my mortgage career like everyone else—dialing and smiling, grinding through deals, learning the ropes, and closing loans.

Then, in 2003, I became the 300th employee at Home Loan Center. I spent a year as an MLO and after several months at the top of the board, I was promoted to manager. A year later, CEO Anthony Hsieh (a mortgage industry icon) noticed my talent in data-driven sales and marketing systems and asked me to serve in a newly created position as sales and marketing analyst reporting directly to the CEO (Mr. Hsieh).

I managed the CRM and workflow for 700 MLOs as the company grew to over 3,000 employees.  I purchased $3M a month in web leads and built decision-making tools that distributed those leads to the right agent, at the right time. I created automatic 'new lead' notifications, automated email messaging campaigns and call reminders to help MLOs stay on top of their pipeline. These changes to our workflow increased lead-to-close conversion ratios by 50%, dramatically cutting our cost per funded loan.   

 

That was with technology we had 20 years ago.

 

Our explosive growth and overwhelming success caught the attention of Lending Tree, who acquired us in 2006.

At that point, I joined a consumer goods company as Vice President of Sales.  It was a wonderful opportunity to transition from B2C, to B2C sales.  In just 3 short years, I was successful in selling to Home Depot, Lowes, Wal-Mart and several others.  Taking an idea, turning it into a product, and shipping to the greatest retailers nationwide is a very fulfilling experience!

 

Since then, I've continued to build and refine workflow solutions, develop marketing strategy and train new sales agents - all while continuing to produce at the highest level. 

​

However, not in real estate.  

​

After taking a financial hit in 2008, I started to study gold.  My research turned into a passion, and I made the transition into selling precious metals.

​

The sales cycle, workflow, value offering and target market for the precious metals and mortgage industries are incredibly similar.

 

Just as I had in real estate lending, I continued to help families become fiscally responsible and set them on a path to build generational wealth. 

 

A terrible car wreck last year has brought my career in gold to an end (logistical issues).  During my recovery of over a year, I had plenty of time to expand on my knowledge of CRM and database management by immersing myself in the world of Artificial Intelligence.  It seems that every day, I am learning about new tools and applications that know no bounds. 

 

Having the knowledge is great, but now it is time to put it all to use.  See it action. Help others find greater success!

Any agent that is able to learn even one new thing that adds one new deal a month to their production would make it all well worth while!
